NIEHS has awarded Phil Brown (Co-Leader of PROTECT’s Research Translation and Community Engagement Cores) and the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute at Northeastern University a conference grant for Social Science-Environmental Health Interdisciplinary Collaborations. Silent Spring Institute, our collaborator on the Community Engagement Core, is also involved in the conference.
This conference, to be held in May 2015, will bring together 60-100 scholars, government agency professionals, and community-based organizations working at the intersections of social science and environmental health, in order to review progress to date, develop best practices for future research, and broadly disseminate materials from the conference to support future training in this transdisciplinary arena.
