On Wednesday July 31st, undergraduate M-Scholars Fellow Tom Onsi won a poster award at the 2019 University of Michigan Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) Summer Research Symposium for his poster titled: “Extracellular vesicle production changes in response to toxicants in placental villous tissue”. This event is the culminating event for all University of Michigan students participating in the UROP Programs and celebrates the partnerships created between students and research mentors; serving as a conference where students can present on their research and learn more about what fellow UROP students are working on. Tom was honored for his research on an M-Cubed project which he completed by working with PROTECT Project 2 Leader Rita Loch-Caruso, Kelly Bakulski, and Project 2 Trainee Sean Harris. Congratulations on this accomplishment Tom, and we are looking forward to seeing more of your research in the future!
