Welcome to PROTECT!
To help you understand the extent of our Center’s activities, we have created helpful resources and reminders of what you should do now that you are a member of the PROTECT team. This page will also be the center for updates on the RETCC’s activites, grants and awars, and other opportunities for PROTECT trainees.
Important Resources
RETCC Newsletter
The RETCC releases a monthly newsletter to all trainees with updates on the center, important reminders and deadlines, and info about upcoming events and opportunities.
Monthly Office Hours
The RETCC holds monthly virtual office hours/round table sessions that feature presentations on helpful topics for trainees, as well as ‘lightning talks’ by one fellow trainee. The sessions also provide a time for trainees to bring up questions or comments to RETCC leadership. Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 11am ET via Zoom. Invites and zoom info will be sent out by Natalie before each session.
2023-2024 IDP
The new IDP was emailed to trainees to complete. Once completed, you can email it to the RETCC at retcc@northeastern.edu.
PROTECT Canvas Site
All trainees should be on the PROTECT Canvas site. There, you can submit complete the required training in human subjects research and research ethics (other certifications may also be required, depending on your institution and your research area.) Please talk with your advisor to make sure that your certifications are in order. Contact the RETCC if you are having issues with the course site.
